Then
Back in the day (like 400 years back) woolgather was a shepherding term that meant to wander the fields and pick up stray fleece from fences and bushes.
Over time, the term drifted. It became a way to describe daydreamers and people with their heads in the clouds.
We loved the idea of bringing these two traditions of dreaming and doing together.
We also just really loved the sound of the word. It’s a bit magical? So we adopted it for our content agency and publishing imprint, under which we make this very newsletter.
Now
Woolgather is led by Heath Killen, a creative and content director who has spent two decades building media systems for institutions like Commonwealth Bank, MONA, Desktop Magazine, The All Story, and City of Newcastle.
For our clients, we build branded content ecosystems that always have storytelling at their core.
For our readers (like you) we make newsletters that have all the good stuff: new discoveries, unforgettable stories, free stuff, and that comforting “ding” of an email you’re actually happy to open.
